Building brand awareness and acquiring new supporters through community art events
Children International is a global humanitarian organization that operates in 10 countries around the world, including the US. However, it was not well-known in its own home town of Kansas City. Community art events presented a unique opportunity for the organization to connect with thousands of people to raise awareness of its brand and local presence.
Children International has always focused on the healing power of art in its programs for children and youth living in poverty. Art is used as a means of helping children envision better and brighter futures for themselves and their families. Futures that are free from poverty.
We featured art made by children around the world to create an emotional connection between event attendees and the children in our program. To further audience understanding, we also shared stories from children in our program to help event attendees paint a picture of what it's like to live in poverty.
We captured leads and obtained new supporters with the help of on-site brand ambassadors, brochures and other takeaways for event attendees, as well as a follow-up e-blast series. Messaging and creative were developed in partnership with our in-house agency and an external partner.
