Crafting a name and identity that reflects a boutique winery’s origin and values


VINIZZO was a newcomer to the Long Island, NY wine scene. The winery and tasting room needed an engaging name and brand identity that would put it on the map in the Northeast’s go-to wine destination. One that would appeal to the urban tourist and the local crowd.


After working to identify the company’s core values of community, quality and enjoyment, we used those values as the foundation to develop a thoughtful strategy and guide name exploration, identity development and website creation.


After defining a set of naming territories relevant to the brand, we explored and tested multiple names. Finally, we arrived at VINIZZO — a name that’s all about blending wine with family, inviting customers to share the story of the Izzo family while creating lasting memories of their own.


That theme is carried throughout the overall design as well as the website copy.
